Welcome to Issue 55
Editor's note: Welcome to Issue 55 and another glorious cross-section of the infinite and exciting varieties of Christian faith, witness and concern which our God has delighted to create. Liberation, feminism, abortion, pilgrimage and love are just a few of the issues under discussion. If this issue has a theme, it must be striving to understand: two holocaust survivors trying to make sense of horrors beyond our full comprehension, an introduction to understanding Mary's role in Roman Catholic faith, and attempts to understand God more fully from various angles — do we start by drawing firm lines in which to place our faith? or by recognising our own limitations of perspective? or breaking down mental barriers that keep us apart from the Divine? Plenty of food for thought! This magazine has been formed to offer an open and challenging attitude towards Christianity, provoking discussion within it, but also extending beyond it. It aims to provide a forum and a mouthpiece for concerned Christianity in its broadest sense. This issue of Christis was spawned by: God Caz Snell And all our contributors! Alan BeebeContents:
