Hi everybody,

Welcome, to freshers, and welcome back, to those of us who have been here a bit longer, to a summer term in York, to the beginnings in the form of the fledging flocks of fluffy bird-lings that have taken over campus and to the goodbyes to those who are ending their degrees and are leaving the bubble to bigger and better things. And if the sudden appearance of small fluffy creatures and stressed leavers around campus isn't enough to contend with there's also the issue of how to step outside without having to bring all weather gear (including raincoat, Wellingtons, sun cream, sunhat, a parasol, and a small boat). In order to distract you from the exams and deadlines chasing you (although unfortunately not that good for dealing with the protective parents of said fluffy bird-lings who also delight in chasing students, speaking from experience), we have been working hard to provide you with goodies for your literary and theological delectation. We hope to challenge your take on such basic concepts as hope, the answers that Christianity offers, whom is your neighbour, and how we perceive God. We also have a look at how God speaks to us quietly and our relationship with God as well as including letters, a book review and poetry.

Enjoy!

Michaela
